Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 3, 2026
We wrote this in plain English so you actually understand it. No legalese. If you have questions, email us at privacy@buildergrid.com.
1. Information we collect
We collect what we need to run the service and nothing more. Here is what that includes:
- Account information such as your name, email address, and company name when you sign up.
- Project data that you enter into BuilderGrid, including project details, estimates, invoices, client information, photos, and documents. This is your data and we treat it that way.
- Usage data such as which pages you visit and which features you use. This helps us improve the product.
- Payment information is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card numbers. Stripe handles all payment security.
2. How we use your information
We use your data to:
- Provide the BuilderGrid service to you and your team.
- Send transactional emails such as invoices, payment confirmations, and account notifications.
- Improve the platform by understanding how people use it.
- Respond to your support requests and questions.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your project information to train AI models. Your data is yours.
3. Data storage and security
All your data is stored in the United States on Supabase, which runs on AWS infrastructure and maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance.
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS (the same technology your bank uses).
- All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- Backups run automatically and are included on all plans.
4. Data retention
- Your project data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days.
- Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days after deletion.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data by exporting it from your account settings at any time.
- Delete your account and data by contacting us at privacy@buildergrid.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
- Correct inaccurate information by updating it directly in your account.
If you are in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to restrict processing. If you are in California, you have additional rights under the CCPA. Email privacy@buildergrid.com to exercise any of these rights.
6. Cookies

- Resend for sending transactional emails.
- Vercel for hosting the application.
- Anthropic for the AI features in Pro and Enterprise plans. Project data sent to AI features is processed by Anthropic and is not used to train their models per our agreement.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Minor updates (like fixing a typo) may be made without notice. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
